Hurley's Hideaway

Hurley's Hideaway is a great place to enjoy family reunions, be with neighbors and friends and make lasting memories for a lifetime.  Whether it be boating, fishing, paddle boating, Kayaking or simply hanging out at the beach and swimming, you will have a great time.  Spend the evenings by relaxing around the campfire toasting marshmallows and exchanging stories about your day.

We are located 2 miles from Lake Tomahawk (connected to the Minocqua chain of lakes) and only 8 miles from Minocqua.  Enjoy restaurants, shopping, golf courses, horseback riding, biking trails, Minocqua Bats Water Ski Show and the Scheer Lumberjack Show.

Watch the sunsets by boat, around the campfire or in your cabin.  You may be lucky and see the Northern Lights while you are looking at the stars.

 Snowshoe Baseball in Lake Tomahawk every Monday night.  Food and pies available at 5:30 and game starts at 7:30.  Last game is Sept. 5th.

Water Ski show in Minocqua - Sun, Wed & Fri. 7pm, mid June to mid Aug.

Prices do not include Sales Tax.  Checks and cash accepted, no credit cards.

Deposits

A " Damage Security Deposit of $200 for each cabin reserved is required 2 weeks before arrival in the event that damages occur or left unreasonably dirty and will be repaid within 1 week after you have left if there are no damages. 

Cancellations

If for any reason, reservations are cancelled, you will be 100% liable for payment of the full rental week.  You will be able to reschedule the week in the off season of that year or the next year.  On short notice, if a cabin is available during the high season, you can book that cabin.  We will do whatever we can to re-rent the week you cancelled.  In the event that we rent it out for the same week, we will refund your money, less $25 for office fees.

Cleaning - Leaving your cabin clean

Check-in time is 3:00 pm    Check-out time is 10:00 am

During the summer season there are no exceptions to this policy.

During off season, it may be possible to arrange in advance for an earlier check-in and check out.

SORRY, NO PETS

In consideration of all other guests we do not allow pets.

We supply
Linens, fully equipped kitchens with microwave, coffee maker, coffee filters, toaster, blankets, pillows, dish and hand soap, garbage bags, 2 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels, charcoal grill, picnic table, fishing boat with each cabin.

4 kayaks, paddle boats and canoe are for everyone to share.
 
You Bring
Kitchen, Bathroom and beach towels, napkins, paper plates, other usable kitchen(extra paper towels) and bathroom items (extra toilet paper), groceries, charcoal and lighter, beach toys, personal items.

Fires

When using fire pit, we ask you Keep your fire under control and extinguish properly.  Do not leave the resort with a fire going. 

ALL CABINS ARE NON-SMOKING

Swimming

All activities at the resort are unsupervised; parents are responsible for children at all times.  The swimming area is gradually sloping. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY.

Boats

Fishing boats are provided with each cabin.  You may bring your own motor up to 10 hp. There is a canoe, 4 kayaks and paddle boats for everyone to use.   State Law Requires Life Preservers.  We do provide some preservers.  If you have small children, you may want to bring smaller preservers.

STATE LAW-ANYONE OPERATING A RENTED BOAT MOTOR MUST BE THE AGE OF 12 OR OLDER WITH A BOATING SAFETY EDUCATION COMPLETION CERTIFICATE.  IF YOU WERE BORN AFTER 1988, YOU'RE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A BOATING SAFETY COURSE TO LEGALLY OPERATE A MOTORIZED BOAT OR PERSONAL WATERCRAFT.

Take your most convenient route to Hwy.39(Hwy 51).  From the south, just before Hazlehurst turn right on Hwy "D".  From the north, go through Minocqua and Hazlehurst and take a left just after Hazlehurst onto Hwy "D".  Take Hwy "D" about 5 miles to Rainbow Road.  Follow Rainbow Rd. less than a mile to Snipe Road.  Turn right on Snipe Rd. and follow the signs.
